Alpinestars is one of the leaders in motocross boots. The top of the line Alpiinestar Tech 10 is the boot. The Alpinestars Tech 10 boot has a revised ergonomic design. The revolutionary development concepts have produced the most streamlined, balanced and protective MX boot yet to hit the market. This motocross boot design has improved the performance of the boot's safety structure. Existing Alpinestars boots have ankle protection and support built inside their construction. To improve on the concept, bringing protection closer to the body, a new inner brace was developed. Using some of the lessons learned in the company's road racing program, where the Alpinestars Supertech boot leads the way with its unique torsion bar ankle support, the new MX brace features a patented double-hinged assembly. However, the Alpinestars Tech 10 brace shares no common components with the Supertech version, besides the hard-compound torsion bars, have been designed specifically to cope with the particular demands of MX riding.
Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support (BNS) is a structure designed to work with a helmet to reduce the risk and severity of a catastrophic neck injury (i.e. paralyzing injury).The Bionic Neck Support functions by providing an alternative load path for the energy that compresses the neck. If the helmet is in contact with the BNS at the moment of impact the overall load passing through the neck can be reduced, which may prevent a fracture from occurring. The BNS reduces the chance of muscular injuries from extreme head movement.
